Three Designed Objects
This is a door access control system that helps residents come back to their apartments easily and conveniently. I consider this as good design because of its simplicity. The buttons are extremely easy to press, there is an indication of what those buttons do, a speaking symbol, a camera, an indication of where to hover a resident’s key, an easy-access button next to it for delivery and it only unlocks if you put in the password correctly.
I like this design because when I first saw it, I immediately knew why the system was placed so low. It was designed this way mostly for convenience. Every aspect of it could be used carefully and precisely. Buttons on the keypad are labeled, a symbol for the key to unlock and clear typography at the top for the road name.
